TJ Cruiser Curious

Ok, I am very interested in the TJ Cruiser. I am hoping that Toyota will be showing one at the Washington Auto Show in April.
This big questions for me right now are:
1) What is the clearance dimensions (height and width) through the tailgate?
2) What is the distance from the interior side of the tailgate to the back of the drivers seat?
3) How many cup holders does the cruiser have?

Thanks
Don

Keep in mind what we seen so far was nothing more than a concept that will likely reflect a few different models in different segments.
That being said models like the Renegade will be your best point of reference, it's what Toyota has to compete with.

Cargo. With 18.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seats and 50.8 cubic feet with them folded, the Renegade has an average amount of cargo room for a subcompact SUV.

Its a working prototype, so not many of the design cues that we have seen in concept will be in the production model. There is a good gallery of pics here for you to go through to get a sense of dimensions, but Toyota hasn't released any specifics. It doesn't have any cupholders because they opted to showcase those removable water bottle door handles.

Toyota really needs to fix their naming structure for their concepts because its been a point on confusion even for automotive journalists. I wouldnt focus too much on the interior dimensions and features of the TJ Cruiser, because they will be vastly different in the production model.

I don't think the dimensions will change much.....the features, yes. I do hope they retain the seat operation. That would really set it apart from other vehicles.

The new name brings some concern because when new names are similar to classics we haven't seen much of or at all, it could signify changes we might not always like.
In this case it can go either way and I hope that all Toyota has planned is a baby-FJ and not what it shouldn't be.
